This week, a representative from the International Center for Media Studies asked me to facilitate a workshop during their upcoming conference entitled, “Emerging Technologies & Media Mythologies.” From their brochure:
Join Dr. Robert Fortner, Executive Director, ICMS,and a distinguished group of experts as they lead a two-day symposium with interactive discussions and workshops, as to how emerging media technologies are not only changing the way we live, but the regions where we deliver messages, services and ministries.
Emerging communication technologies are not necessarily worldwide, but rather specific to particular cultures or people groups. Therefore, it is possible that emerging technologies may promise the world but miss the audience.
Needs. Delivery. Accountability. Results. These assessments drive our activities and provide the proper feedback to organizations and individuals who support your efforts.
During my workshop, I will help church leaders process information communicated in the main sessions and apply it to their local churches and ministries.
